Cookies

Effective 26 October 2026

This page lists every cookie and every browser-storage entry GreenMind's websites set, how our websites count visits without cookies, and when content from other companies waits for your click. Our privacy policy covers everything else we do with your information.

1. What our sites store

Our websites store only what they need to work: they keep you signed in and remember choices you make. None of it needs your consent, and none of it tracks you across other sites.

Google Firebase, which runs sign-in on greenmindmedia.com, may also load a small helper page from Google's servers so that signing in works on phones and in Safari. Signing in with Google opens Google's own sign-in page, where Google's cookies apply.

2. Counting visits

Our websites count every visit, without cookies and without asking first. Each page loads a small counting script from the website's own address (under /stats/), and the website passes what it reports on to our own counting server, which runs Umami, software we operate ourselves. No analytics company receives it.

What is counted is the page you view, the site that sent you there, any campaign tags in the address of the page (the utm_ parameters a link of ours carries), your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and the country and city your IP address places you in. Every other part of the address after the question mark is left out, because such parts can carry sign-in codes and invitations.

It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. To tell one visitor from another, our server combines your IP address and browser with a secret value that is replaced regularly, and keeps only the one-way code that results; your IP address itself is not kept. Visits cannot be linked to your GreenMind account, nor to each other across a replacement of the secret. Nothing is shared with anyone else, and each visit is deleted after 24 months.

3. Content from other companies

Some of our pages show YouTube videos and our Discord server's widget. Where the law asks for your consent before such content loads (the European Union and the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Quebec), and wherever we cannot tell where you are, each one shows a placeholder instead, and nothing is requested from YouTube or Discord until you press it. Pressing it loads that one video or widget. Choosing to always load YouTube videos or Discord widgets on a placeholder loads them on our pages from then on, and that choice is kept in your browser, as the table above lists. Everywhere else they load with the page.

We tell where you are from your IP address when you open a page, looking it up on our own servers in a copy of DB-IP's country database (IP Geolocation by DB-IP), and keep it for nothing else. YouTube videos always play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which sets nothing until a video plays.

Once loaded, Google and Discord receive your IP address and may set cookies of their own, under Google's and Discord's privacy policies.

4. Changing your mind

Clearing your browser's cookies and site data for our sites removes everything in the table above, the choice to always load other companies' content included, and signs you out. Your other rights, including to object to how we use your information, are set out in our privacy policy.
